MicroRNA-155 Regulates Human Angiotensin II Type 1 Receptor Expression in Fibroblasts

Mickey M. Martin, Eun Joo Lee, Jessica A. Buckenberger, Thomas D. Schmittgen and Terry S. Elton

Study where miRNA binds to and regulates mRNA responsible for translational expression of human angiotensin II type 1 receptor (hAT1R).

Interesting article if you want to learn more about miRNA.

Hey Holli,

Great article! It is always important to remember that aptamers aren't always the best cures. Students should remember that the best therapeutic wins and aptamers may not make the best no matter how much we tout their benefits. miRNA are certainly an alternative to inhibit cellular processes. Thanks!
