etOH precipitation after PAGE
So I have heard from a couple of people that the etOH precipitation after their PAGE is taking longer than the expected 45 minutes. I am not sure what is causing this problem but I think it may be the large volume that is used for resuspension or one of the reagents (this may not be likely since all other etOH precipitations are going just fine!) I recommend doing your elution in a smaller volume. I usually do elutions in 1 mL of 1X TE. It is expected that there is 950 uL recovered from this. You guys can do the calculations for the rest of the reagents given the information Brad has given you. If you are unsure, ask Brad, Gwen or one of the mentors to verify!

I know Lindsay had problems. Who else? I suspect it is the ethanol somehow. Or the glycogen. Gwen, can you order Glycoblue?
